Meadowbrook Ward News
Many things have changed since the beginning of the Pandemic and lock-down. However, our admonition from President Nelson is a good one: “Despite our challenges, Hope shines bright. Light the world one-by-one.”

A big THANK YOU to the bishopric for having a drive-by gift-together for the ward. The loaf of bread, Christmas wish and receiving a copy of Come Follow Me was absolutely fitting.

WELCOME HOME ELDER YOUNG!!!! Andrew arrived in Pocatello airport on the 9th day of December 2020. Looking at his arrival on Facebook, he had family there to greet him with signs and love. Since his travels took him from Zimbabwe, South Africa, through Pocatello to Georgia, USA, and back again, it was a long trip. It is a good thing his GPS kicked in and got him back home right on time. (LOL). Welcome Home.

The announcement of additional temples being reopened was good to hear. Sadly, the Idaho Falls Temple was not one of the temples being opened right now. Who knows, perhaps the Pocatello Temple will almost be finished (closer to) by the time all temples will be opened for our use.

Elder Tanyen Thomas is still in the New Hampshire-Manchester Mission. He is quarantined with his companion because of Covid and also because of flu in that area. He and his companion are doing their best to proselyte using inventive methods as prompted. He would probably appreciate being remembered at this time of year. His address is: New Hampshire-Manchester Mission, Elder Tanyen Thomas, 105 Wind Song Avenue, Manchester, NH 03104 or e-mail at tanyen.thomas@missionary.org.

“This is the dispensation when no spiritual blessing will be withheld from the righteous…The Lord would have us look forward to the future “with joyful anticipation.”… The challenge for you and me is to make certain that each of us will achieve his or her divine potential… whatever your challenges…live each day so that you are more prepared to meet your maker…I bless you to be filled with the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. His peace is beyond all mortal understanding. I bless you with an increased desire and ability to obey the laws of God. I promise that as you do you will be showered with blessings, including greater courage, increased person revelation, sweeter harmony in your homes, and joy even amid uncertainty. May we go forward together to fulfill our divine mandate—that of preparing ourselves and the world for the Second Coming of the Lord.” This is a great blessing and promise from our Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson during his closing address at October General Conference.
